The hardest part of a family event is the date
Families are spread across cities, shift schedules, school calendars and time zones. Calling everyone one by one takes days, and by the time you reach the last cousin the first one has made other plans.
An availability poll flips that around. You suggest the dates, everyone answers in their own time, and the best date appears on its own — with the names of anyone who would miss it, so you can decide whether to move it.
Made for relatives who "don't do apps"
SlotTogether was built mobile-first with large text and large buttons. There is no account, no password and nothing to install. If your aunt can open a link in WhatsApp or a text message, she can answer the poll.
Each person taps a time once for "works for me" and twice for "if need be". That second option matters in families: someone who could come but would rather not is counted, but the poll still prefers the date that suits everyone best.
Ideas that work well
For a holiday dinner, offer the weekends around the date instead of one fixed day. For a reunion, start with whole weekends and only plan the hours once the weekend is chosen. For a surprise party, send the poll to everyone except the guest of honour and title it something neutral.
Tips
- ✅ Send the link to one person per household if couples always come together.
- ✅ Put the number of households you expect, so you know when everyone has replied.
- ✅ Use the copied summary in the family group so nobody can say they missed the decision.
